'Where the Wild Things Are' Art Assignment

Room 2 have been creating art that follows the techniques of Maurice Sendak who is the author and illustrator of 'Where the Wild Things Are'

In groups of 6 the students had to recreate a piece of art from 'Where the Wild Things Are'. They cut the piece into 6 and each student had to draw their piece onto a larger piece of cardboard, so they also had to look at scale to make sure their art was as accurate to their cut out as possible.

LEARNING INTENTIONS

Developing practical knowledge: WALT Observe and copy the drawing techniques of the
illustrator Maurice Sedmak as accurately as you can in pencil.

Communicating and interpreting: WALT Describe how you think author and illustrator Maurice Sedmak developed his story idea, and who you think his intended .

Check out their work.
